Nursery Sessions for September 2021 onwards

Please find below a form should you wish to apply for Nursery sessions.  Our Nursery is led by Mrs Claire Westall, Assistant Headteacher and offers a safe, secure and nurturing environment for all children.

The Early Years Foundation Stage provision (Nursery Unit) at Torpoint Nursery and Infant School was confirmed as outstanding by Ofsted and the following quotes are from the Ofsted Report:

“Provision in the Early Years is excellent.  Children make a very good start to their time in school because of the high quality support they receive from all adults.”

“The Early Years provision is very well led and managed.  Children’s progress is carefully tracked and any underperformance is supported through additional support in a small group or on an individual basis.  Adults working in the Early Years are effective and knowledgeable because of the training and support they receive from their highly skilled leader.”

“From the varying starting points, children make rapid progress in both the Nursery and Reception classes.  By the time they leave the Early Years, the proportion of children attaining a good level of development is much higher than the national average.  Therefore, children’s achievement is excellent and children are well prepared for the next stage in their education.”

“Children are happy and get on well with each other because the activities they are allowed to select from are stimulating and fun.”
