Catch Up Funding

For the academic year 2020-2021 schools across the country have been allocated a small amount of funding to provide ‘catch up’ learning opportunities to help children make up for lost teaching time due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Our school will recieve a total of grant of £18.560 of which £4.640 has already been received.

We are fortunate enough to be able to use this money to employ Mrs Hall, an experienced teacher, to work with groups of children across the school.  By using a teacher who is  part of our school team, we can,  in line with best practice guidance,  ensure that the interventions are planned and delivered in ways that closely the learning in the children's classrooms and are an intergral part of the curriculum for the child rather than being something that is seen as separate.

The children she works with have been carefully chosen based on assessment of specific curriculum need.  The children in the groups, together with the  focus for these groups will change throughout the year in order to maximise the benefit to the learning of children.
