The Owls have had a fantastic start to Year One! They have been busy settling into their new classroom and learning about their class Owl. They have shown that they can recognise one and two digit numbers and partition them into tens and ones. The Owls have also shown that they know what makes a super sentence. They have used capital letters, full stops, finger spaces and their best phonics to write sentences about our class bird Oscar. All of the Owls are excited that the magic wand has arrived and brought us a magic challenge.
The Owls loved wearing mufti for Pudsey Day! We learnt the importance of Children in Need and why we are raising money. The Owls loved creating their own Pudsey hats, using spots to help them recall number bonds to 10 and solve tricky Pudsey subtration number sentences.
