WOW!

The magic wand has been very busy delivering our new learning….

It sent us a letter which told us to go outside into our wildlife area and look for a tent… When we got outside we saw a campsite! We spotted a great big tent, a sleeping bag, a stove, a flask, welly boots, a hat and so much more! Inside the tent, we found a backpack that we took back to our classroom. When we looked inside, we found a letter from an explorer called ‘Tom’. He is from Australia and needs our help to research our local area of Torpoint. I wonder what other learning challenges he will bring us…..

An overview of our current learning:

Personal, Social and Emotional Development: we will be thinking about respecting our own bodies and people’s ‘personal space’

Communication and Language: using question words ‘how’ ‘what’ ‘why’ ‘who’ ‘where’ to begin our new learning about ‘explorers’

English: we will be learning to write ‘lists’ using our phonics and writing a recount of our new ‘explorers’ theme. We will also be learning a new story

Maths: we will be learning our number bonds to 10, along with adding, subtraction, doubling halving and sharing

Shape, Space and Measure: recognise, create and describe patterns

Physical Development: each week we will taking part in athletics and team games

Understanding the World: we will be exploring Torpoint and looking at similarities and differences between other places

Exploring and Using Media and Materials: we will be creating 3D art
