Message for Mrs Kellond 8th July

I am sure you will have heard the most recent announcement from the Education Secretary which outlined that from the 19th July the school ‘bubble’ system will no longer need to be in place.

After careful consideration, with only one week left of term from this date and due to the rising cases of the new variant, we have decided to keep our bubble system in place.  This will help to ensure the safety of all and will also mean that should there be a positive case in school, only a small number of children would need to isolate.

When we return to school in September we will no longer need to stick to the bubble system or have a staggered start and end to the school day. Therefore, all children will need to arrive in school between 8.45am and 8.55am, and the school day will end at 3pm.

Nursery children will return to their normal session collection and pick up times:

Morning session: 8.45am-11.45am.

Afternoon session: 12.15pm-3.15pm.

 June Message from Mrs Kellond

I am sure you will have heard the announcement from the Prime Minister last night where we were informed that we needed to wait a little longer before proceeding with Step 4 of the roadmap out of lockdown.

We have also received guidance from the Department for Education which has informed us that we must keep our protective measures in place until further notice.

With this in mind, we have had to adapt some of our plans in the lead up to the summer break. We are disappointed that we will be unable to invite you into school, however I am sure you will understand that the safety of all must be our priority.

Please see table below which highlights the changes that we have had to make:

 Parental Consultations

These will now take place via telephone. Your original time and date will still be used for the consultation; please bear with us, we will try to stick to your allocated time, but we cannot guarantee that we will not run over. Your child's new class teacher will also be available to talk to as part of the consultation.

Please note, you will be called from a withheld number.

Monday 28th June
Year Two parents meeting at Carbeile Junior School

This will no longer be able to be held at Carbeile Junior School. Instead, Mr Hamlyn will record a welcome video which will be shared on our website. We will inform you when it is uploaded for your perusal.

Friday 2nd  July

Country Dance Day

Your child's dances will be recorded and shared on our school website.  We will inform you as soon as they are uploaded for you to enjoy... although it is disappointing that we are unable to hold the event in school, we hope that the whole family will be able to enjoy watching these online!

Monday 19th July
Teddy Bear's Picnic for Nursery children

Unfortunately, we will no longer be able to invite parents to this event. Please keep a look out in your child's book bag for their graduation photo if their time in Nursery is coming to an end.

Thursday 22nd July
Year Two Leavers' Assembly

This will be recorded and shared on our website. Please be assured that this will still be a wonderful celebration of your child's time with us here at TNIS.

?I would like to take the time to thank you in advance for your understanding in the need to change our arrangements for all of the above. Let's hope that next year we will, once again, be able to invite you back into scho
