Home Learning - Flexible Ideas

One theme coming through in all advice from those involved in education at this time is the importance of routine. You may have a timed timetable, a tasks list or identify tasks to complete throughout the day , please fit it to your families needs.

We have worked hard to provide a solution for each of you during these difficult times. All our ideas are based on the same ways of working that we use in school where we provide engaging, practical activities as part of their school life and we do not rely on worksheets .

Each Year Group have put together a selection of  flexible ideas for you . These documents  can be downloaded using the links below.

  • Page one has pictures of what the children have learnt at school already this term- you can talk to your children about what they have learnt and maybe find out a little bit more; they could then produce a project about it - drawings, models , writing , cake ...let imaginations run wild!
  • Page two has some home based learning ideas that are closely linked to the curriculum for the year group

Please continue to read with your child every day and ask them questions about the main characters and events. It is so important for children to continue their love of reading as a lifelong skill.
