Home Learning Support Overview
… activities that will support your child on their return to school and will also provide support and focus for the days at home
Many of you are unsure about how you are going to teach your children while they are at home...can we reassure you that you do not have to create a school at home ...we recommend that anything you choose to do is as relaxed as possible and meets your family's needs and style. We have worked hard to provide materials that may be a solution for each of you during these difficult times.
All ideas are based on the same ways of working that we use in school where we provide engaging, practical activities as part of their school life and we do not rely on worksheets .
One theme coming through in all advice at this time is the importance of a routine.
- In our school based routine solution we have suggested this for you and this will be updated every Friday with new materials .
- If the school based routine does not suit you then please look at our extra, flexible and online resources sections.
- Please be look at our emotional support materials
Please continue to read with your child every day and ask them questions about the main characters and events. It is so important for children to continue their love of reading as a lifelong skill.
