Educational visits in our school are planned to broaden our children’s horizons…to take them places they may have never been and to encourage them to explore environments physically and with their senses.
Whilst planning trips thoroughly with a clear view of safety and curricular opportunities we do not plan a wealth of activities for the children to undertake whilst they are at the location…instead we allow them to look, question, follow their own fascinations and be led by their imaginations.
Questions from staff and the children are at the heart of every educational visit we undertake.
On their return to school the rich experiences the children have been immersed in allow them to access inspired work across the curriculum using the questions as starting points.
The children from Year Two enjoyed an amazing educational visit to Pentillie Castle near St Mellion.
