Wildlife Area

In the academic year 2013-2014 as part of the theme of becoming "Nature's Heroes" the children have developed a new wildlife area within the school.

RSPCA collection officer Peter Ferris helped the children to build a pond to attract insects and other wildlife to the school environment.The children were involved in all aspects of developing the area, even hammering in the fence posts!

The area was officially opened by Sir Richard Carew Pole on 17th January 2014- you can see this special event by clicking the link here.

In 2014-2015 it has been used for additional outdoor learning activities which you can in the slideshow below and can also find out about on our class pages.

It has also been enriched by the addition of a totem pole created when the sycamore tree needed work as it created too much shade in the area.
